REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.
REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.

REDCap ist eine browser- und appbasierte, metadatengesteuerte Software für das Datenmanagement klinischer und translationaler Forschungsprojekte. REDCap ist eine Software zur webbasierten Datenerfassung mittels Fragebögen und Formularen. REDCap wird am UKD für unterschiedliche Bereiche verwendet, für den Bereich klinische Forschung über das KKS direkt.
Dienststatus: nicht validiert
REDCap kann aktuell nicht für regulierte Projekte (z.B. zulassungsrelevante Projekte) verwendet werden. Für regulierte Projekte steht die validierte Datenmanagementplattform TrialMaster zur Verfügung.
REDCap wird seit 2006 unter Mitwirkung einer starken internationalen Community an der Vanderbilt University am Medical Center entwickelt. Für die formularbasierte Datenerhebung bietet es eine Vielzahl an technischen Unterstützungsfunktionen.
REDCap steht am Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf und der Medizinischen Fakultät der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf ausschließlich für Forschungs- und Lehrzwecke zur Verfügung. Als Mitglied der Medizinischen Fakultät der HHU haben Sie grundsätzlich Zugriff auf das REDCap-System.
